Well, what a fantastic day!
Thanks to Jess Moore & Co at Warner Bros. Creative Talent Season One, on th 28th May 2014, I was privileged enough to invited to the London premiere of sci-fi epic Edge of Tomorrow, directed by Doug Liman, starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
It was an early start of 6am at the Waterloo BFI IMAX,with a spot next to the red carpet watching the stars arrive, photos aplenty!
The early start was due to the 24hr live feed of all 3 premieres in London, Paris and finally New York at 11:59 on the edge of tomorrow…..
I won’t spoil the film too much but I thoroughly enjoyed it and encourage people to go and see it! Imagine Groundhog day but with a sci-fi alien war going on……. Yup, it’s pretty awesome!
Bright and early, me and the other scholars and apprentices from Warner Brothers Creative Talent Season One had no idea what an amazing experience we were about to have.
To kick off the event I was lucky enough to meet both Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt!
Being a huge fan of Chris Nolan’s Batman films it was incredible for me to see Tom Hardy attending and who can resist a photo with Bane ;)! It was great to see Tom there supporting his girlfriend Charlotte Riley, who stars in the movie.
And of course the premiere ticket signed by Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Director was a definite win!
I am slightly ashamed but I also couldn’t help but get a sneaky selfie snapchat, very quickly, of me on the red carpet on the way in ;)….
The glasses however did look a little bit ridiculous on me…..
Overall it was a fantastic event and I still can’t even believe it happened! My first IMAX experience and it was pretty incredible!
Once again many thanks to Jess and the others at Warner Brothers Creative Talent Season One for such an amazing opportunity!
Then, a quick lunch, change of hotels, quick shower and fresh clothes before attending the BAFTA event of the evening….
Thanks to the BAFTA’s support with the Prince William Scholarship, I was invited to attend the BAFTA Year of Exceptional Talent event, which was a fantastic honour.
Just before the event I was very flatteringly asked to answer questions to a small round table of press about my thoughts on the scholarship.
This event was just a brilliant chance to meet amazing people such as Dominic Mitchell, BAFTA award winning writer for the series In The Flesh, amongst many other extremely talented people.
I then ended the evening talking games with a fantastic group of people in the game industry including Jo Twist from UKIE, Georg Backer, Ex-Lionhead Studios, and Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive
Overall a fantastic day! Looking forward to one day being on that red carpet properly myself!
Having a cup of tea tomorrow morning before work is not quite going to cut it after such an amazing day…
Hope you had fun reading!
