Inspired by the roaring success of previous tours, legendary composer Hans Zimmer has announced a spectacular new tour, ‘The World of Hans Zimmer’, which is travelling the UK this month, March 2019.

The tour will go underway from 17th of March in Krakow, and hits the UK between the 20th and 23rd of March, visiting Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London on its way. It will reach Dublin on the 25th of March, before touring Europe until April. It will then resume in November later this year, continuing through Europe, and returning for a final London date on November 26th.

As an Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe Award winner, Hans Zimmer is one of the most influential film score composers of our time. He has scored an extensive and impressive catalogue of blockbuster productions, including Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Inception, The Lion King, Dunkirk, and many more.

The tour will be under the direction of Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack conductor, Gavin Greenway. In contrast to the renowned ‘Hans Zimmer Live‘ tour, where the sound focuses on Zimmer’s band and the electronic sounds of the music, ‘The World of Hans Zimmer’ will present the composer’s works arranged for a live symphony orchestra for the very first time. Hans Zimmer spent months working on transforming his soundtracks into opulent concert suites, curating a stunning, genre-defying stage show.

This tour will also be the first time audiences will be able to experience Hans Zimmer’s music alongside stunning visual projections of film segments. According to the tour’s website, Hans Zimmer has given:

“precise instructions to the artistic direction about which scenes were important to him and should be used in the projections”.

This is a momentous opportunity to hear Hans Zimmer’s best work in one of its grandest presentations to date. Performed by a collection of Hans Zimmer’s most trusted musicians, each evening will guarantee visual and aural extravaganza that is not to be missed.
